Starc bowls Tanzid Hasan during Australia's T20 World Cup Super Eights clash against Bangladesh

Watch: Mitchell Starc bowled opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim for a duck in the first over with a searing outswinger to give Australia an early advantage during their first T20 World Cup 2024 Super Eights fixture against Bangladesh today (June 21).

It was business as usual for Mitchell Starc as he struck again in the first over to set the match for Australia. Starc took the new ball after Australia decided to field first.

As always, Starc pitched up the ball to begin with, imparting swing. The first two balls resulted in no run. The breakthrough came in the third.

Steaming in from over the wicket, Starc landed the ball full at the stumps. Tanzid Hasan Tamim tried to defend without much footwork, and the ball curved slightly away and hit the toe of his bat to hit the stumps.

Starc bowled three overs in the trot for 18 runs and a wicket in his opening spell. At the time of writing, Bangladesh were 79-3 after 12.2 overs.
