Watch: Scotland opener Michael Jones played one of the shots of the tournament so far in the opening stages of their game against England in Barbados, pulling Chris Jordan for a six that flew out of the stadium.
Scotland won the toss and opted to bat first at the Kensington Oval, though the start of play was delayed for the best part of an hour after a brief shower left a stubborn damp on the pitch that needed to be dried.
Play eventually began 55 minutes after the scheduled start, and Scotland, playing their first ever men's T20I against England, started steadily.
Five overs into the contest they were 34-0, with opener George Munsey surviving a scare. Munsey was comfortably caught after Jos Buttler took a high catch off the bowling of Mark Wood but replays confirmed that Wood had overstepped.
Jones went up through the gears in the final over of the powerplay, taking 15 runs off Chris Jordan's first over of the match. The first run-scoring shot was the most eye-catching with the Durham batter pulling Jordan out of the stadium for six. The ball initially hit a solar panel stationed on the roof before bouncing out of the venue. The solar panel that was hit was visibly damaged.
Jones, 26, was playing just his seventh T20I and was preferred in the Scotland line-up to Ollie Hairs who has been a regular presence in Scotland T20I line-ups in recent years.
The heavens opened shortly after Jones' powerful hit, with a heavier shower taking the players off the field with Scotland on 51-0 after 6.2 overs.
