Nepal fielder juggling catch

Watch: Karan KC took a juggling catch at the cover boundary to dismiss Heinrich Klaasen during the SA vs Nepal Group D clash at the 2024 T20 World Cup in St Vincent.

Nepal put South Africa in to bat in Kingstown. After an early wicket of Quinton de Kock, Aiden Markam (15 off 22) and Reeza Hendricks (43 off 49) steadied the ship for South Africa.

Markram was dismissed in the 12th over by leg spinner Kushal Bhurtel, with South Africa's score reading 68-2, bringing Klaasen to the crease.

The wicketkeeper-batter, however, couldn't last long as he was caught at the cover boundary attempting to play a lofted inside out off Bhurtel in the 14th over. Karan KC, the fielder on the boundary, nearly made a meal of a relatively simple catch, juggling it as many as four times, before eventually diving forward and catching it with his right hand to send Klaasen packing for three off five balls.

South Africa collapsed from 74-2 in 13.2 overs to 115-7 in 20, losing their last five wickets for 41 runs in 40 balls.

Nepal threatened to chase the target down easily, needing 31 off 38 balls with eight wickets in hand at one stage, but South Africa held their nerves to win the game by one run in the end.
