Often regarded as a reserved individual, Dravid let his emotions pour out while celebrating India’s T20 World Cup win at the podium. Virat Kohli was seen handing Dravid the trophy, asking him to take centre stage. Uncharacteristically, Dravid lifted the silverware and was seen enjoying every bit of the moment, roaring in celebration.
The match ends Dravid’s tenure as India’s head coach. He succeeded Ravi Shastri in the role in December 2021 and was granted an extension after the ODI World Cup last year, in which India played the final. Under Dravid's leadership, India also won the Asia Cup and reached the final of the World Test Championship that year. The T20 World Cup trophy is undoubtedly the highlight of his coaching career.
