Brandon King looks into the sky after hitting Reece Topley for a six during the T20 World Cup Super Eights fixture between West Indies and England

Watch: Brandon King smashed Reece Topley for a massive six during the second Super Eights fixture between West Indies and England today (June 19) in Saint Lucia.

West Indies were asked to bat first in St Lucia, on a wicket that has been the best track to bat on in this World Cup. They were off to a steady start, scoring 13-0 in the first two overs.

Off the third over, King tried to hit each of the first three balls but couldn't connect as he would have liked and opted for a bat change. The new bat certainly changed his luck as he smacked Topley for a huge six. The England left-arm seamer bowled full around middle and leg stump, and King needed no second invitation: he planted his front foot and cleared the ball for an enormous six over deep mid-wicket and out of the stadium, this time resulting in a ball change.

West Indies scored 54 without the loss of a wicket in the first powerplay. However, King, who was looking good, retired hurt for a 13-ball 23.
