Afghanistan created history with their first ever win against Australia in international cricket, beating the 2021 champions by 21 runs on Saturday night. With the victory, they have kept alive their hopes of making their maiden semi-final appearance in an ICC event and will need a big win against Bangladesh in their last game if they want to harbour hopes of making it through.

Following the win, while head coach Jonathan Trott remained characteristically unfazed, bowling coach DJ (Dwayne) Bravo took part in the revelry with great enthusiasm. The highlight was when he decided to groove along with the players to the song ‘Champion’, written and sung by him eight years ago, on their way back to the team hotel.

Stalwarts Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi joined in as well, singing aloud the chorus and doing the trademark step, with Bravo leading the way.
