NEP vs SL & AUS vs NAM: T20 World Cup 2024 team news
Nepal news
Nepal caught the eye in their first match thanks to the raucous Dallas crowd that came out to support them, but couldn't get over the line against Netherlands in a low-scoring match. They may fancy their chances of an upset here against Sri Lanka, who have lost two out of two so far.
Sri Lanka news
Sri Lanka were the first team to bat in New York, which is now synonymous with a par score of about 100. They couldn't defend 77 there against South Africa, but will have been more disappointed with their batting against Bangladesh when they scored just 124. The bowlers ensured that they stretched the game, but it was always just out of reach.
Australia news
Two games, two wins is excellent news from an Australian perspective, particularly when one of those came against arch-rivals England. A win over Namibia will secure qualification to the Super Eights for them, and they are expected to complete the task with minimum fuss, if not necessarily ease.
Namibia news
Namibia needed a Super Over to beat Oman in their opening game, before they were blown away by a fantastic Scottish batting effort. It's a tough ask, but if they can sneak in a result against Australia here, the second spot in Group B could suddenly get a lot more open.

NEP vs SL & AUS vs NAM: Prediction for today’s T20 World Cup matches
Nepal showed admirable spirit against Netherlands, but it looks likely that Sri Lanka's bowling attack might just prove too good for their batters. For the Lankans, their best chance of finishing in the top two comes from winning their remaining matches and hoping a few other chips fall their way, results and net run rate-wise. However, all this being said, the weather forecast for Lauderhill on matchday is grim and chances are this could be a washout.
On paper, Australia vs Namibia is going only one way but we have seen a couple of shocks in this World Cup already. If the Aussies can put in a similar performance to the one they did last time around, they have a good chance of steamrolling the Namibians. It will take a real solid effort for the African side to put a dent in Australia's hopes of securing qualification, but never say never.
