A Vistara flight dedicated to Rohit and Kohli – UK1845 – carried the India team to Mumbai.
4.30pm IST: The India team is set to land in Mumbai, and the victory parade is set to start in half an hour.

2.30pm IST: The team will now travel to Mumbai for the victory parade. The parade, similar to those witnessed during the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup wins, will see the team bus go from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium. A programme is scheduled to be held at the Wankhede Stadium in the evening.
PM Modi meets Rohit Sharma and team
11.45am IST: The team has now reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, in New Delhi for a feliciation ceremony followed by lunch.

10.30am IST: The Indian team checked into the ITC Maurya hotel, where the team received a rousing welcome. Members of the team cut a cake laid out by the hotel authorities commemorating the win.

Team India arrives in New Delhi
The Indian team won their first ICC tournament since 2013, beating South Africa in Barbados to become the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup champions. Captain Rohit Sharma and Co. received a thundering applause outside the Indira Gandhi International Airport, where Rohit was seen holding the trophy aloft. Rohit, along with other team members, were also seen breaking into a dance as they walked through a cordon of fans.
The Indian team arrived in New Delhi at 6.05am IST after a flying time of more than 15 hours.
The special Air India chartered jet, AIC24WC, carrying the winning team became the most-tracked flight on Flightradar24, a Sweden-based online flight-tracking system, as thousands of Indian fans eagerly waited for the team's arrival.

The India team arrived from Barbados to New Delhi in the early hours of July 4. Their arrival back in the country was delayed due to the prevailing Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean Sea.
T20 World Cup celebration, live updates: What is India team's itinerary on July 4?
The India team, after meeting PM Modi, will head to Mumbai for a victory parade – a 2km stretch that will run from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium, before getting felicitated. The felicitation will be open to fans at the Wankhede Stadium.

The India team beat South Africa in the final to win their second men's T20 World Cup title since the inaugural edition in 2007. The team spent the next five days in Barbados, waiting for weather conditions to get better, before flying out to India.
