It's not been entirely great news leading into the first match. There's an ongoing Flood Warning in Dallas, the metropolis in the state of Texas. However, in the Grand Prairie area, things have eased up a bit as Saturday evening approaches.
Severe thunderstorms hit Dallas through the week, leading to damage to the stadium itself. A temporary big screen at the stadium blew down on the stands, even as winds of 80+mph and flash floods hit the city.

T20 World Cup: How's the weather on the opening night?
According to the National Weather Service, there is a "slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am," clearing the match of immediate rain danger as of now.
Further, the NWS assessment for the evening says "increasing clouds, with a low around 73 (F). East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 per cent".
According to BBC Weather, updated at 6am Dallas time on Saturday, the chance of precipitation is 3 to 4 per cent in the first two hours of the game, with no rain forecast through the rest of the night. However, there is rain forecast for the afternoon.
According to Accuweather, the chance of precipitation is as high as 51 per cent on Saturday afternoon, but the forecast becomes better towards the evening. However, a general warning for the area suggests that a heavy thunderstorm may hit on Monday, and could even bring hail and possible thunderstorms.
