A washout against Scotland in their campaign opener, followed by a loss against Australia, has complicated England’s road to the Super Eights. With Australia already into the second round and Namibia and Oman out of contention, the second place will be contested between Scotland and England.
For England to qualify, they need to win both their matches and Scotland need to lose theirs. They also need to overtake Scotland in net run rate. If the match gets called off due to inclement weather, then Scotland will qualify because of having more points compared to England.
