Hardik Pandya has moved level with Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga to become the No.1-ranked ICC all-rounder in men's T20 internationals, while teammate Jasprit Bumrah has leapt 12 places in the bowlers' rankings.

The latest rankings were released on Wednesday, updated until July 2. This is the first rankings update since the T20 World Cup final last Saturday, which saw India beat South Africa by seven runs in a tense encounter in Barbados

Pandya joins Hasaranga at the top

Hardik Pandya, who bowled the final over of the match and defended 16 runs, was rewarded with a rise in the all-rounder rankings from No.3 to No.1. He is currently on 222 rating points, level with Hasaranga. Pandya took 3-20 in the final, and enjoyed a superb World Cup campaign with 144 runs and 11 wickets to his name.

India's Axar Patel also went up seven places after his excellent rebuilding knock of 47 (31) in the final. The left-hander was one of India's unsung heroes in the World Cup, and now sits in 12th place for all-rounders. He is also ranked 7th among bowlers.

Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi, who helped his team qualify for the semifinals of the tournament, went down by four places, to sixth.

Bumrah leaps in bowler rankings

Another Indian player who enjoyed a rise in the rankings was fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

Returning from long injury lay-off last year, Bumrah had an excellent ODI World Cup before excelling with the red ball when England visited India earlier this year. He saved his best for last, as his T20 World Cup campaign rounded off a magnificent comeback season.

Bumrah took 15 wickets in the tournament, including 2-18 in the final. More impressively, he maintained an economy rate of 4.17 runs per over, nearly unheard of in the game's shortest format. He was named the Player of the Tournament, becoming the first to do so without scoring a single run in the tournament's history.

In the latest rankings update, he shot up 12 places in the T20I bowling rankings, to 12th.

South Africa's Anrich Nortje moved up seven places to second spot, while Kuldeep Yadav cracked the top ten, moving into joint-eighth place with Australia's Adam Zampa. Arshdeep Singh, who was the joint-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 17 wickets, moved up to a career-best 13th spot.
