PAK Vs IRE, BAN Vs NEP, SL Vs NED: T20 World Cup 2024 team news

PAK vs IRE news

Pakistan and Ireland, both out of the World Cup, will want to salvage some pride in their last match of the tournament. Pakistan, former T20 World Cup champions, will be especially hurting and would want to finish on a high. However, with the match scheduled in Florida, there is a good chance that we might get no cricket once again at the venue.

BAN vs NEP news

Nepal came inches close to securing their most famous victory in international cricket at the same venue – St Vincent – a couple of days back against South Africa. With a surface aiding their spinners, they will fancy their chances once again. Bangladesh need a point from the game to officially qualify for the Super Eights, and would be confident on a subcontinent-like pitch in St Vincent.

SL vs NED news

The Netherlands, currently on two points, will Nepal to beat Bangladesh, and then a big win against Sri Lanka themselves to qualify for the Super Eights. Former champions Sri Lanka, winless after three games at this World Cup, will be desperate to go back home with something to show for.

PAK Vs IRE, BAN Vs NEP, SL Vs NED: Prediction for today’s T20 World Cup matches

Pakistan, despite their relatively poor showing at the World Cup so far, will start as favourites against Ireland. The Nepal-Bangladesh clash is expected to be more tightly fought, but Bangladesh's experience in international cricket will give them an edge in closing out crunch situations. Sri Lanka last took the field on June 7, against Bangladesh. They will be rusty, giving the Netherlands a more than decent shot at beating another Full Member side at a World Cup.
