Today's T20 World Cup match preview

USA v England, Super Eights
Where: Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados
When: June 23, 10:30 am local time

England stumbled through the group stage but hit their stride in the last moment to qualify for the Super Eights. They started with a thumping win against co-hosts West Indies but lost their way against South Africa, owing to some fine spin bowling.

USA, on the other hand, exceeded their expectations by making it this far. Two losses in two games makes it unlikely for them to reach the semi-finals. They will look to thwart England’s chances to the top four.

T20 World Cup results: Who won yesterday's match?

India v Bangladesh: India won by 50 runs

Afghanistan v Australia: Afghanistan won by 21 runs

ENG v USA: Who are the key players?

Saurabh Netravalkar

One of the reasons behind the USA’s qualification in the second round is Saurabh Netravalkar’s form. The left-arm seamer is the co-hosts’ highest wicket-taker so far, with six wickets at an average of 17.33 while going at only 6.17 per over. His best of 2-18 came in the historic Super Over win over Pakistan.

Harry Brook

Harry Brook has been the binding force behind England’s teetering middle-order. A match-winning 20-ball 47 not out against Namibia in the group stage and a 37-ball 53 against South Africa in a losing cause last match are some of his notable contributions this year. Brook currently leads England’s run-scorers chart, with 120 runs at 120 and 164.38.
