Watch: Virat Kohli’s latest T20 World Cup half-century contained yet another stroke to add to his glittering highlights reel – a glorious, hold-the-pose loft down the ground over long-on for six.

Against Pakistan, Kohli played a shot instantly rated as one of the greatest in cricket history. With 28 needed from the last eight balls, it was six or bust, and he somehow hit a Haris Rauf bouncer back down the ground into the stands. Ian Smith described it as “nigh-on impossible for a normal human being.”

Against Bangladesh, Kohli played another sumptuous stroke, driving Hasan Mahmud over long-on. The ESPNcricinfo ball-by-ball description said it was “reminisicent of Tendulkar from Sharjah 1998”.

Kohli finished on 64 not out, his third half-century in four innings at this tournament, with a number of records falling by the wayside during his knock.
