Watch: Jos Buttler received a reprieve during England’s crucial T20 World Cup clash against New Zealand, with replays showing an attempted Kane Williamson catch had bounced.
From first viewing, the New Zealand captain looked to have taken a good catch to see off his opposite number, with the ball dropping over his shoulder and Williamson holding the ball as he stood up.
However, Buttler was asked to wait as an umpire review took place, with a different camera angle revealing that the ball had spilled from Williamson’s grasp, bounced on the ground, and then landed back in his hands again.
Buttler went on to make England’s top score, finishing with 73 off 47 deliveries as England put up 179-6.
