Watch: Haris Rauf dealt Bas de Leede a sickening blow in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup victory over Netherlands, but made sure to comfort his opponent in the aftermath.

De Leede was forced to retire hurt, struck between the peak and grille of his helmet by a fierce Rauf bouncer. The Pakistan quick is one of the fastest bowlers in the world, and the Netherlands No.3 was forced to retire hurt on six off 16 with a cut below his eye and a swelling, bruised cheek. Logan van Beek came into the Dutch XI as a concussion replacement.

After the game, Rauf made sure to seek out de Leede to offer some kind words, telling him he would come back stronger as the pair shared an embrace and a chuckle.
