• UAE captain CP Rizwan, Muhammad Waseem, and Netherlands’ Bas de Leede have all been in form, all scoring 50+ runs within their last two games. Don’t rule out the Netherlands’ all-time T20I run scorer, Max O’Dowd, from performing well either.
• In terms of pace bowlers, Junaid Siddique bagged a five-wicket haul in the UAE’s most recent game against the West Indies and Zahoor Khan has taken 41 wickets in T20Is. Logan van Beek and Brandon Glover took three wickets apiece for the Netherlands against Scotland and New Zealand respectively.
• The UAE will be looking to the leg-break bowling of Palaniapan Meiyappan and 16-year-old Aayan Azfal Khan’s left-arm orthodox. The Netherlands, on the other hand, will be hoping Shariz Ahmad can do some damage with his tricky to face googlies.
