Hafeez lost control of the first ball that he bowled against Australia, as it first bounced near his foot and then bounced again before Warner sent it for a six over deep mid-wicket. The left-hander took a few steps to his right before crouching and smashed the ball for a maximum.

The all-rounder had to bowl the first ball of the eighth over again, as according to the MCC Clause 21.7 a no ball shall be signalled if the “ball which he/she considers to have been delivered, without having previously touched bat or person of the striker bounces more than once or rolls along the ground before it reaches the popping crease.”

Warner was eventually dismissed for 49 off 30 deliveries.
