You’re tasked with choosing the England XI for the semi encounter against the Black Capsin the T20 World Cup. This doesn’t seem to be a tough task on the face of it, given how well England have done in this World Cup.

England were undefeated in the World Cup till their close loss to a spirited South Africa in the T20 World Cup. Despite, a number of injuries hampering their campaign, the English team have put up a near flawless World Cup display so far.

England bowled out West Indies for 55 in their first World Cup game, before chasing down a target of 125 against Bangladesh in merely 14.1 overs. They crushed arch-rivals Australia by a margin of eight wickets, and then won against Sri Lanka by a margin of 26 runs.

Their winning streak came to an end against South Africa, but Eoin Morgan’s side will back themselves to do well against the New Zealand. They have one of the most balanced squads in the tournament, with players like Moeen Ali, Liam Livingstone capable of ticking off with the bat, while also being used as a bowler.

One of the concerns for England could be their last couple of games, where they didn’t look at their finest. They will also have to ready themselves for the eventuality of losing a toss, and being asked to bat first in conditions where bowling second isn’t the easiest of jobs.

Who will be your batter replacing Jason Roy? Will you continue to go with Mark Wood, or choose a new pacer in his place?

England Squad: Eoin Morgan (c), Jos Buttler (vc), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, James Vince, David Willey, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, Reece Topley

Reserves: Liam Dawson
