This is the fourth T20 World Cup for Scotland, having appeared earlier in 2007, 2009, and 2014. In these editions, Scotland have played seven games in total, having won only one encounter.

For this edition of the T20 World Cup, they will be led by Kyle Coetzer. They also have former England batter Jonathan Trott as a part of their coaching staff. He will play the role of a batting consultant.

Scotland are a part of the qualifying round of the T20 WC. They’ve been placed in Group B, along with Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, and Oman. They begin their campaign on October 17 against Bangladesh.

Scotland squad news and updates

The original squad was a 17-member provisional squad. Of the same, Oli Hairs and Chris Sole failed to make it to the final squad. Hairs suffered from a shoulder injury during a warm-up fixture and will travel back to the UK. Michael Jones has been added to the travelling reserves, alongside Chris Sole. He later replaced Josh Davey, who suffered a groin injury.
