Australia will begin their ICC T20 WC campaign on October 23, when they take on South Africa in their first Group 1 encounter. Led by Aaron Finch, the 15-member team packs a punch, with experienced campaigners such as Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and David Warner in the squad. The five-time 50-over World Cup winners have flattered to deceive in T20 World Cups so far, with just one runner-up finish, and they would be eager to get their hands on the trophy this time around.
Australia have been placed in Group 1 of the tournament, alongside the Proteas, England, and West Indies. They will also face two qualifying sides, who will enter the main competition after taking part in the first round of the T20 WC.

Warm-up matches
Australia will also take part in two warm-up matches ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021: They take on New Zealand on October 18 at Abu Dhabi (6pm) and then face India on October 20 in Dubai in a day game.
The semi-finals of the tournament will be held on November 10 and November 11, with the final scheduled for November 14 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
