Virat Kohli kept looking at a fake watch on his wrists, seemingly indicating to new batter Mohammad Rizwan not to delay proceedings, during the India-Pakistan clash at Ahmedabad in the 2023 World Cup today (October 14).

Rizwan walked out to bat at No.4 after the dismissal of Imam-ul-Haq in the 13th over of the innings by Hardik Pandya, and he was up against an impatient but excited Kohli, who was counting down moments before the action resumed on his fake watch.

Kohli, who was not wearing a watch while fielding, looked down at his black wristband, pretending it was a watch, and seemingly gestured to Rizwan that he was not quick enough to face the first ball.

The former India skipper kept looking at the imaginary time ticking away and then at Rizwan with his right hand on his waist, indicating the wicketkeeper to hurry up and face the first ball.

Rizwan eventually played out a dot ball and got off the strike three deliveries later.
