Boult has picked up 60 wickets in his first over in all professional white-ball games combined, the latest against Bangladesh in the World Cup in Chennai.

The New Zealand quick sent down an inswinger down the leg side to Litton, who whipped it effortlessly towards square. However, he did not get the desired power on his shot and ended up gifting the catch to Matt Henry, positioned at fine leg. Commentator Anjum Chopra later described the shot as “ordinary”.

Bangladesh, who were sent in to bat first, were reduced to 56-4, with Boult sending down his first six overs for 30 runs, Litton being his only scalp.

Skipper Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim steadied the ship, taking their side to 126-4 after 27 overs.
