CWC 2023: South Africa vs Netherlands match preview
South Africa have made the best possible start to their World Cup campaign, winning both their games by margins of 100-plus runs, including one against Australia. With the conditions in Dharamsala being more favourable to pace than spin, they can look to bring Gerald Coetzee back in the XI in place of Tabraiz Shamsi. Other than that, their XI bears one of the most settled looks in the tournament and they’d be raring to make it 3-0 on Tuesday.
Netherlands are yet to open their account at the World Cup, having suffered two losses in Hyderabad, both by big margins. Logan van Beek missed the last game due to a hamstring niggle. Netherlands would be hoping that he would have recovered in their week-long gap between games. They have showed promise, but haven’t been able to go the distance. Afghanistan’s upset against England might just be the push that unlocks their belief that they can do something similar in Dharamsala against South Africa.
SA vs NED fantasy tips
[caption id=”attachment_587416″ align=”alignnone” width=”1024″] Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram have both been in fine form with the bat at the World Cup[/caption]
# Quinton de Kock has scored two hundreds in his first two matches at the World Cup. With the form he is in, he should be a certainty in your side.
# Aiden Markram has scored a hundred and a fifty in the two games for South Africa at the World Cup so far. Plus, he has bowled 14 overs in the two games combined, providing another possible area where he could earn you points. He should be in your team.
# The South Africa seam bowling attack is a threatening one, with all three, four if you include Gerald Coetzee, looking good and in wicket-taking form. With Dharamsala expected to assist pace, a major portion of this seam-bowling quartet should be in your side, particularly against a batting lineup like that of Netherlands, who don’t play a lot against such quality pace.
# Logan van Beek and Bas de Leede continue to be the two main all-rounders for Netherlands around which their side revolves. If van Beek plays (he missed the last match due to injury), he should be in your side along with de Leede, who should be one of your top captaincy choices as well.
