Shikhar Dhawan shared a clip of a comical mix-up between two Pakistan fielders during their 2023 World Cup warm-up clash against Australia.

Over the years, a number of Pakistan fielders have been involved in miscommunication that have resulted in misfields, leading to the amusement of opposition fans. Another such incident panned out during the first ball of the 23rd over today when Haris Rauf sent down a short of a length delivery to Marnus Labuschagne. The batter played it softly towards deep backward square leg where both Mohammad Wasim and Mohammad Nawaz attempted to stop the ball.
However, the pair very nearly collided as they sought to intercept the ball and in doing their best to avoid contact with each other, the ball intersected them and rolled away to the boundary for four preventable Australia runs.
Dhawan, who has not been picked in India’s World Cup squad, shared a video of the incident on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Pakistan & fielding never ending love story.”
