Three cities will host 10 warm-up matches before the league stage of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 starts on October 5. The warm-up games will be played across four days, with each team getting two matches to get up to speed before the main even starts.

When and where will the warm-up games be played?

The warm-up matches will be played across four days: September 29, September 30, October 2, and October 3. Three cities will host the ten games: Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati.

The ten games are divided across the three cities as follows: four in each of Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram and two in Hyderabad.

Who will Pakistan play their warm-up games against?

Pakistan’s warm-up games are against two strong opponents: Australia and New Zealand. While they have already played eight ODIs against New Zealand this year, it will be the first time they’ll meet Australia in a 50-over game in 2023.

The playing conditions for the World Cup allow teams to field all 15 members of their squads during the warm-up matches since the games won’t carry ODI status.

When and where will Pakistan warm-up matches be played?

Pakistan will play both their warm-up games at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Their first match will be against New Zealand on September 29, followed by their second and final warm-up game against Australia on October 3.
