The ICC has released the official theme song for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. Here is all you need to know about it.

With just over two months to go for the 2023 Cricket World Cup to begin, the ICC has released the official promo for the event, named “Dil Jashn Bole“.

World Cup theme song: Who does it feature?

The theme song has been created in collaboration with some of the finest talents in Bollywood. It features Ranveer Singh in the lead role while the music has been composed by Pritam.

The lyrics have been written by Shloke Lal and Saaveri Verma, while vocals have been provided by Pritam, Nakash Aziz, Sreerama Chandra, Amit Mishra, Jonita Gandhi, AKASA, and Charan. The song also features a rap written and performed by Charan.

World Cup theme song: Where is it available?

Dil Jashn Bole” has been released on various streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Gaana, Hungama, Resso, Wynk, Amazon Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The song will soon be available on radio stations Big FM and Red FM as well.

Ranveer Singh said that it was an honour for him to be a part of the anthem: “As a part of the Star Sports family and a die-hard cricket fan, being part of this anthem launch for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 is truly an honour. It’s a celebration of the sport we all love.”

Pritam echoed similar sentiments, “Cricket is India’s greatest passion and composing ‘Dil Jashn Bole’ for the biggest World Cup ever, has been a tremendous honour for me. This song is not just for 1.4 billion Indian fans but for the whole world to come to India and be a part of the biggest celebration ever.”

World Cup theme song: How can you participate?

Fans have the opportunity to feature in a Fan Anthem. The ICC will curate a Fan Anthem by collecting the most captivating videos submitted by fans where they perform their unique renditions of the hook-step in the song.

Fans will need to partner with a friend and record a performance of the hook-step and share it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag “#CWC23”.
