Babar Azam slumped to 829 points after amassing 157 across five matches in the World Cup 2023, but still held on to the top spot. Closing in on him is Shubman Gill, who shot to 823 points on the back of his 53 against Bangladesh in Pune.
Meanwhile, the in-form Quinton de Kock jumped three spots to third place with 769 points thanks to his three centuries in the ongoing World Cup.
His teammate Heinrich Klaasen gained four spots and moved from seventh to third with a career-high rating of 756. He has 288 runs from five matches in the World Cup 2023 while averaging 57.60 and striking at 151. No other player has racked up that many runs at such a high strike rate.
Kohli jumped from eighth to third after scoring a match-winning 95 against New Zealand, but slipped two places later as both de Kock and Klaasen leapfrogged him. Kohli now shares the fifth position with David Warner.
