Watch: David Miller showed his reflexes as he hung onto a juggling catch to dismiss Rahmat Shah in the 24th over of the South Africa-Afghanistan World Cup clash on Friday (November 10).

On the fifth ball of the over, Rahmat pushed a wide delivery by Lungi Ngidi towards backward point, where Miller was stationed. The ball popped in and out of Miller’s hand, not once but twice, before he grabbed it on the third attempt after the ball ricocheted off his face. The one-handed grab left Ngidi, who had walked off the field earlier due to a left ankle injury, with a wide smile.

It catch ended Rahmat’s knock of 26 in 46 balls, having walked out following Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s wicket at 41-1.

Afghanistan are all but out of the 2023 World Cup after they failed to win against Australia, having reduced them to 91-7. South Africa, on the other hand, have confirmed a spot in the semi-final against Australia.
