On Sunday (February 9), South Africa announced two changes to their Champions Trophy squad, including a replacement for injured quick Anrich Nortje.
On January 15, just two days after South Africa announced their initial squad for the Champions Trophy, they were rocked by the news that pace spearhead Anrich Nortje had been ruled out of the tournament with a back injury.
Gerald Coetzee was expected to be named as Nortje's replacement, but was soon ruled out of the SA20 in the early stages of the league with a groin injury. He recovered from the knock to be named in South Africa's squad for the ODI tri-series against Pakistan and New Zealand, a preparatory series for the Champions Trophy. Just hours after that squad announcement, Coetzee suffered a training injury and was ruled out of the Champions Trophy.
South Africa Bosch, Maphaka in Champions Trophy squad
Earlier today, South Africa confirmed two changes to their squad, three days ahead of the deadline. Corbin Bosch, who impressed on Test debut against Pakistan, and has played one ODI, will replace Nortje from the initial squad.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old left-arm seamer Kwena Maphaka has also been added as a travelling reserve, presumably as cover for Lungi Ngidi who has also had fitness issues of late.

Bosch and Maphaka have also been added to South Africa's tri-series squad from the second match onwards, alongside batter Tony de Zorzi. They are not part of the first match, owing to the short turnaround from the SA20 playoffs, which they were all involved in.
