Against New Zealand at Karachi in the 2025 Champions Trophy, Haris Rauf conceded 83 off 10 overs. Only three others have conceded more runs in the history of the tournament.
New Zealand amassed 320-5 at Karachi after Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to field. They were in a spot of bother at 73-3, but Will Young (107 off 113 balls) and Tom Latham (118 not out off 104) put on 118 to change the course of the match. Once Young fell, Glenn Phillips blasted a 39-ball 61 to take New Zealand past the 300-mark.
Largely due to their three fast bowlers, Pakistan took more than four hours to complete their 50 overs. While Shaheen Shah Afridi (10-0-68-0) and Naseem Shah (10-0-63-2) both went for more than a run a ball, Rauf fared worse. He did pick up Daryl Mitchell in his first spell and Phillips in his last over, but the 83 runs he conceded are the joint fourth-most in an innings in Champions Trophy history.
The overall record still lies with Wahab Riaz, who returned figures of 8.4-0-87-0 against India at Birmingham in the 2017 edition before walking off with an injury. He was subsequently ruled out of the tournament.
