After Rohit Sharma, another senior India player has dismissed the rumours of his ODI retirement with a social media post on Monday (March 10).
Since India won their third Champions Trophy title on Sunday, there was widespread speculation that India’s veteran trio of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja might retire. While Rohit and Kohli later suggested they aren’t retiring, rumors swirled about Jadeja’s future in the format.
The rumours were fueled further when Kohli was seen hugging Jadeja after he finished his spell during the final of the Champions Trophy 2025.
Ravindra Jadeja: No unnecessary rumours
Jadeja, however, refuted all the speculations by sharing a story on social media platform Instagram on Monday. "No unnecessary rumours, thanks," the all-rounder wrote.

Jadeja had an outstanding final with the ball. In his 10 overs, he only conceded 30 runs, taking the important wicket of Tom Latham. His figures of 1-30 are the third-most economical spell by a spinner in an ICC ODI event final. With the bat, he hit the winning runs in his six-ball nine-run cameo.
Speaking to Star Sports after taking India over the line, Jadeja said, "This is a massive moment for me. I take a lot of pride in winning a big tournament for India. Luckily, we have won two back-to-back ICC Trophies, and we are really happy with it."
With 231 wickets from 204 matches, Jadeja is the third-highest wicket-taker among India spinners in ODIs. Only Harbhan Singh (265) and Anil Kumble (334) have more. Overall, his tally is the seventh highest for India in the format. In addition, he also has 2,806 runs at an average of 32.62.
Last year, after India won the T20 World Cup, Jadeja retired from T20Is following the footsteps of Rohit and Kohli.
