India skipper Rohit Sharma reached the landmark of 11,000 ODI runs during the Champions Trophy match against Bangladesh on Thursday (February 20), becoming the second-fastest to get there.

Rohit lost the toss as Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto elected to bat first. Bangladesh were reduced to 35-5, and could have been 35-6 had Rohit held onto a regulation slip catch to complete a hat-trick for Axar Patel.

Jaker Ali made the most of that reprieve, going on to score 68 and put on a record 154 for the sixth wicket alongside Towhid Hridoy (100), who scored his maiden ODI century.
