The BCCI has reportedly confirmed that the India team will wear the official logo of the Champions Trophy on the team's kit.
A report from Cricbuzz on Wednesday (January 22) says that new BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia clarified, "We will follow whatever are the ICC guidelines," and reiterated the point when it was mentioned that the logo of the Champions Trophy includes the name "Pakistan", who are the host nation of the tournament.

Why is it news that India will adhere to ICC guidelines?
A report from the Times of India had stated that the board were unhappy about the Indian team wearing a playing kit which had the name "Pakistan" on it.
Relations between the two nations have been strained for the longest time, and India have also refused to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Their matches will be played in Dubai.
The 2023 Asia Cup was also held in Pakistan, but once again, India refused to travel and instead played their matches in Sri Lanka, leading to a hybrid system. Since 2008, India have not travelled to Pakistan. Pakistan, however, arrived in India for a white-ball bilateral series in 2012-13 before also taking part in the 2016 T20 World Cup and 2023 World Cup on Indian soil.

The report is not clear as to why exactly this specific issue of the name "Pakistan" being printed on Indian jerseys is an issue, but it can largely be chalked up to the strained relations between the countries, and by extension, cricket boards. In addition, India will not be playing in Pakistan at all.
However, since the official logo of the Champions Trophy includes "Pakistan" in it, India would be contravening the ICC's official clothing code, which requires all participating teams to display the logo on their kit.
In 2023, Pakistan did wear the logo of the World Cup which had India's name on it.
What has happened at previous tournaments hosted by Pakistan?
This is the first ICC event hosted by Pakistan since India and Pakistan stopped playing bilateral series with each other. When Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup, there was no need for the logo to display the host's name (as per the guidelines of the Asian Cricket Council, which organised the event) – thereby avoiding this issue altogether.

If India wanted to advance the argument of not displaying Pakistan's name on their kit as they are not playing there, this argument would not hold water either. During the 2021 T20 World Cup, India's name was part of the logo, as the host nation, and every team wore that logo even though the tournament was shifted to Dubai due to Covid-19 restrictions.
As it happens, there now appears to be official confirmation that this will not be an issue for the Champions Trophy, and that India will comply with ICC regulations.
However, Saikia did not confirm whether Indian captain Rohit Sharma would travel to Pakistan for the captains' press conference and photoshoot, as well as the opening ceremony in Karachi on February 19.
