The group stage of the 2025 Champions Trophy has come to an end. Here are the final standings after the conclusion of the India vs New Zealand match in Dubai.
India lost their 13th consecutive ODI toss, and were put in to bat by Mitchell Santner. They were rocked early as Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli all departed within seven overs – the latter to an unbelievable Glenn Phillips catch.
Shreyas Iyer (79) and Axar Patel (42) then put on 98 to resurrect the innings, before Hardik Pandya's run-a-ball 45 ensured India put up a competitive 249-9 on a wicket they expected to be helpful for spin.

In the second innings, Pandya took the big wicket of Rachin Ravindra in the fourth over, derailing New Zealand's chase as Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell stumbled through the middle overs. Williamson held his end up but with the dot balls mounting and wickets falling around him could never get going.
He ended as the highest scorer of the match with 81, dismissed with his side still 81 runs from victory before the Black Caps eventually ended up losing by 44 runs.
The result means the semi-final lineups are now confirmed. India will take on Australia in Dubai on March 4, while New Zealand will play South Africa on Wednesday, March 5 in Lahore.
