But BCCI’s refusal to send the Indian team across the border resulted in a hybrid model, with the tournament now being set to be jointly held in Pakistan and the UAE.

Miller’s niggle adds to South Africa’s woes
South Africa continues to face injury setbacks with the latest being David Miller, who left the field during Paarl Royals’ final SA20 home fixture, against Durban’s Super Giants. The incident happened in the 14th over when Marcus Stoinis played a shot through the covers. The extent of his injury, however, is yet to be revealed.
"My right groin is a little tight," Miller told SuperSport afterwards. "It's just a little tweak. Tried to get off before it could get any worse."

South Africa’s fast-bowling stocks threatened by more injury concerns
Gerald Coetzee, who was seen as a potential replacement for Gerald Coetzee, is also unavailable for the ongoing SA20 competition due to a hamstring injury.

Saim Ayub doubtful for Champions Trophy
Pakistan have suffered a significant blow after opener Saim Ayub was ruled out for “up to six weeks” with a right ankle fracture sustained during the Cape Town Test against Pakistan this month. He underwent treatment in London and currently in rehab.
"It will take time for his complete recovery and we are not going to risk his future career just for the Champions Trophy," said PCB chair Mohsin Naqvi.
