India defeated New Zealand to win the 2025 Champions Trophy final: here are live updates of the presentation ceremony, including end-of-tournament awards, and post-match quotes.
India won the Champions Trophy for the third time, adding to their title in 2013 and the joint-win alongside Sri Lanka in 2002.
Batting first, New Zealand scored 251-7 in 50 overs, with Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav taking two wickets each. Ravindra Jadeja bowled one of the most economical spells by a spinner in Champions Trophy history, finishing with 1-30, while Mohammed Shami nearly broke the record for the most expensive Champions Trophy spell by an India bowler, conceding 74 from his ten.
The chase wasn't straightforward: Rohit Sharma led the way with a fifty, putting on a 100-plus opening stand with Shubman Gill. However, India kept losing wickets at key moments: Rohit fell in an attempt to bump up the run-rate following nine successive dots. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel fell to questionable dismissals, but India's batting depth took them through.

Kohli not retiring!
In response to Simon Doull's question on the ability of this Indian team, Kohli all but confirmed that he is not leaving right now.
"Well, for sure, I try to speak to these guys as much as possible. Try to share my experience how I've been able to play for so long. Try to step in wherever I can to help improve their games. When you leave, you want to leave the team in a better position. And that's our effort, you know? That's what we're striving for. And when, eventually, we are finally done at whatever stage, we have a squad that's ready to take on the world for the next eight ten years."
