Watch: Mubasir Khan claimed an extraordinary boundary catch against Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League, leaping high, keeping himself just inside the rope and getting a kiss from Hassan Ali in celebration.

Islamabad United surged in the powerplay against Quetta Gladiators, reducing them to 19-4 after six overs. Fazalhaq Farooqi claimed two new-ball wickets, including a pearler to trap Will Smeed lbw, with Faheem Ashraf also striking twice.

The first, the wicket of Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, came via a piece of brilliance from Mubasir. The wicketkeeper made good connection with a pull shot, and would have cleared the rope easily had a flying fielder not intercepted the ball.

Mubasir stretched full length, clung onto the ball with both hands, and landed just inside the field of play. Islamabad United were jubilant, none more so than Hassan.

Thereafter, Quetta Gladiators recovered, with fifties from Mohammad Nawaz and Najibullah Zadran and a blistering cameo from Umar Akmal lifting them to 179-6.
