Watch: Haris Rauf reached extreme speeds in his final over for Lahore Qalandars against Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) qualifier today (March 15), bowling Kieron Pollard and Khushdil Shah with consecutive deliveries in excess of 150kph.
The winner of the game will qualify for the PSL final, and the fixture was a charged-up affair. Multan Sultans began slowly, with captain Mohammad Rizwan receiving criticism for the nature of his innings, but a late assault from Pollard pushed Multan Sultans up towards a good total.
He hit three sixes in an over off Shaheen Shah Afridi, and exchanged words with the Lahore Qalandars captain during their bout. Bowling the next over, the 20th, Rauf tore in as if a man intent on revenge, hitting 150kph with each of his first four balls before dipping into his arsenal of slower deliveries to close out the over.
The quickest, recorded at 154kph (95.7mph), sent Pollard’s off-stump flying, while the next ball, at 150.3kph, did for Khushdil as Lahore Qalandars finished strong.
