In the seventh over of Peshawar’s chase, Aamer Jamal short-arm pulled Faheem Ashraf for a six behind square. A ball boy stationed in that area attempted to catch the ball beyond the boundary but wasn’t successful.
Colin Munro, who was fielding at deep square leg, had his hands on his head after the ball boy dropped the catch. He gave him an encouraging high-five and a side hug along with some coaching on catching techniques.
Then, in the 19th over of the innings, Arif Yaqoof slogged a length ball for six in the same region where once again Munro was fielding, with the same ball boy standing beyond the boundary.
This time, perhaps implementing whatever advice Munro would have given him earlier, the ball boy was able to hold on to a brilliant sliding catch. Munro had to jump in his follow-through to avoid collision with him, but turned back quickly and gave the ball boy a bear hug in excitement after finding out that he had taken the catch, leading to smiles all around.
Videos of the moment went viral on social media soon after as viewers enjoyed the heart-warming moment.

Colin Munro giving a ball boy some mid-game coaching after a dropped catch and then grabbing him in a bear-hug after he takes a catch later on is very nice

Islamabad won the game comprehensively in the end, by 29 runs, after restricting Peshawar to 167-9. Earlier in the match, they had notched up 196-4courtesy of a 51-ball 80 by captain Shadab Khan. Munro himself had made 15 off nine balls opening the batting.
