The Pakistan Super League 2025 draft took place on January 13. Here’s a full list of English players who will be seen in action in PSL next season.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore sparks interest in the Platinum round
England’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore attracted a lot of attention in the Platinum round of the PSL 2025 draft. He was the third overall pick of the day after Daryl Mitchell and David Warner with Quetta Gladiators interested in his services.
However, Peshawar Zalmi used their right-to-match option to ensure his return. Kohler-Cadmore has been with Peshawar since PSL 2021. He had an ordinary campaign last year and could only score 121 runs in eight matches at 15.12.
Kohler-Cadmore had also previously appeared for the Quetta Gladiators on his PSL debut in 2018.
Sam Billings and Tom Curran united at Lahore Qalandars
Both Sam Billings and Tom Curran will accompany each other after Lahore Qalandars went for the English duo in the Supplementary rounds. Qalandars used the RTM option on Billings who was picked by Islamabad United earlier. "Sam was an integral part of the Qalandars winning squad and he's hugely popular among the fans so I'm excited to see him back with Qalandars," said Fawad Rana, the owner of the two-time PSL champions.
Billings last played for Qalandars in PSL 8 back in 2023. He scored 235 runs in 10 matches on that occasion.
Tom Curran was the final supplementary pick for Lahore Qalandars. He made his PSL debut with Islamabad United in 2023.
Chris Jordan leads the list of player retentions
Three English players were retained by their respective franchises ahead of the PSL 2025 draft. Fast bowler Chris Jordan was retained by Multan Sultans. He wasn’t the only English player retained by the team as Sultans also decided to award David Willey with a retention.
Jordan picked up six wickets in six games last season while Willey was the second-highest wicket-taker for Sultans with 15 scalps in 11 matches.
James Vince, who scored 214 runs in nine matches at 26.75 in PSL 9, got retained by Karachi Kings.
