After being sent to bat first, Qalandars were 85-3 after 12 overs. Mir Hamza, having taken 1-8 off his two-over opening burst, was reintroduced in the attack. The first two balls yielded five runs as Jahandad, batting on 12 off seven, took the strike.
Bowling the third ball of the 13th over, Mir Hamza banged it short on a teasing off stump channel. Jahandad tried to smash Hamza down the ground and almost cleared the rope. Pollard, guarding the long on boundary, went airborne, and the ball stuck in his right hand. He then flicked it in the air and went over the rope before coming inside to pull off a screamer.
While chasing 176, Pollard scored a 33-ball 58 to help Karachi win a thriller, which was decided off the last ball.
