England Women will face Ireland in the first bilateral series ever between the two sides, starting on September 7 with the first ODI. Here's Wisden's pick of the betting odds for that match.

Ireland v England 1st ODI: Who will win?

While England would normally hold a significant upper-hand in the contest, with all-but two of those in their T20 World Cup squad not making the trip, the ground has been somewhat evened. Ireland have also just come off the back of their first-ever series win over Sri Lanka, who beat England last summer when they were once again without their best players.

England could field several debutants in the game, with Paige Scholfield, Georgia Davis and Ryana MacDonald-Gay all uncapped players in the squad. Kate Cross will stand-in for Heather Knight as captain for the first time. While the odds still overwhelmingly favour England to win, don't count Ireland out of it. Stake are offering a 7.25 return on every pound betted for an Ireland win.

Ireland v England 1st ODI: Which side will hit the most fours?

Expect England to go on the attack with the bat. Scholfield, if playing has shown an aggressive approach in domestic cricket, hitting a boundary-fuelled half-century in the opening match of The Hundred. Tammy Beaumont and Bryony Smith are also high-boundary prospects. For Ireland, stand-in captain Laura Delany hit an unbeaten 70 off 45 balls against Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup Qualifier, with Amy Hunter and Leah Paul starring in the recent bilateral series between the two sides. Expect Ireland to put up a fight, at a 6.25 return with Stake, but England would still be where the safest money is.

Ireland v England 1st ODI: Which side will have the highest opening partnership?

England's opening partnership could be explosive. Tammy Beaumont is likely to open the innings with Bryony Smith. Ireland's power mostly comes in their middle-order, with Orla Prendergast operating alongside Hunter, Paul and Rebecca Stokell. Stake are offering a 1.47 return on England's opening partnership to surpass Ireland's.
