England have named their squads for the Women’s Ashes, beginning in Australia next month.

Heather Knight will lead all three teams as England and Australia gear up for the multi-format series, beginning on January 11 in Sydney. The tour will include three ODIs and as many T20Is along with a four-day Test match.

There have been four players who have received maiden Ashes call-ups. All-rounder Freya Kemp, who made her international debut in 2022, playing 27 white-ball matches for England, has been picked for the T20I squad, while Linsey Smith, who debuted over six years ago, in 2018, has been selected as well.

Bess Heath and Ryana MacDonald-Gay have been named in the Test squads. The 20-year-old MacDonald-Gay recently made her debut on the tour of South Africa, picking up 2-50 as England defeated the hosts by a massive margin of 286 runs. Heath, on the other hand, will also play the T20Is.

Mahika Gaur, who switched from playing for the UAE to representing England last year, has not been named in either squad due to an injury but will be travelling with the side.

England will travel to Australia on January 2, before playing a warm-up game two days before their first ODI.
