Jos Buttler will continue to lead England despite their group-stage exit at the World Cup 2023. England’s squad has gone through an overhaul as Buttler, along with Harry Brook, Gus Atkinson, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, and Brydon Carse, are the six players retained from the group that travelled to India for the World Cup.
Josh Tongue was sidelined from the series due to an injury, and Matthew Potts was named as his replacement.
Meanwhile, Shai Hope will lead the 15-man squad West Indies squad, which includes uncapped all-rounders Sherfane Rutherford and Matthew Forde, among other notable inclusions. Shane Dowrich, who was recalled in the ODI squad after a hiatus of four years, announced his retirement from international cricket and withdrew from the series.
