Bangladesh will take on England in a three-match ODI series beginning on March 1 in Mirpur – here’s where to watch BAN v ENG live on TV Channels and streaming services.
The trip to Bangladesh is the final assignment of England’s international winter and will be followed by a three-match T20I series. The first two ODIs will be played at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium before Chattogram hosts the final match of the series, all of the games will start at midday local time (6 am GMT).
England will be without their multi-format players for the series, with Joe Root and Ben Duckett still in New Zealand following the Test match series. Will Jacks has flown over prior to the conclusion of England’s final Test match in is available for the series. Rehan Ahmed has been included in England’s ODI squad for the first time, with James Vince also back in. Tom Abell was initially included in the 15-man squad but has since been ruled out of the series after picking up a side strain while playing for England Lions in Sri Lanka.
The series is Bangladesh’s first under returning head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, who previously held the position between 2014 and 2017. Shakib Al Hasan is uncertain to start in the first match of the series after returning from the USA 48 hours before the game.
Off-field tensions between Shakib and ODI captain Tamim Iqbal have been the focus of the attention before the series, with clear-the-air talks reportedly held between the two senior players in the run-up to the series opener.
President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nazmul Hasan, said of the rift between the two: “This is not a healthy dressing room, this I can guarantee you.”
Note: The matches will begin at 12pm local time after a revision from the original timing of 2.30pm. The changes have been made owing to dew late in the evening.
