It’s been a tough week for broadcasters worldwide, with SuperSport coming in for criticism from the touring India team in the field against South Africa, and now Fox Cricket feeling the ire of Broad.

Bowling to Mitchell Starc in the third full over of the morning, Broad stopped just short of the bowling crease before shouting “Stop moving the robot” in frustration. It wasn’t immediately clear what he meant, but a tweet from cricket.com.au made clear that it was Fox Cricket’s rover that had annoyed Broad, seemingly moving behind the batter just before the ball was bowled.

While a batter pulling out due to movement in the crowd is a relatively common occurrence, it’s rarer for the bowler to do so, and even rarer for the cause to be a machine controlled by the camera operators!
