Down 0-2 in the Ashes series, England are in need of some quick fixes, and they attempted some extreme methods during a training session three days before the third match gets underway. Seemingly in an effort to improve their weight transfer and balance, the England openers Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed were asked to bat on one leg by England assistant coach Ant Botha, according to Cricbuzz’s Bharat Sundaresan, with Hameed even batting with just one hand on his bat for a brief period at nets.

The openers from England have been two of the worst-performing batters in the series thus far, with Burns scoring only 51 runs in two games at an average of 12.75, and Hameed faring only slightly better, averaging 14.50, with a high score of 27.
