Big names participating in Duleep Trophy 2024
It is also more significant this season because of the players involved. In recent seasons, the competition has been filled with the best players on the domestic circuit but participation from national team regulars has waned thanks to the packed cricketing calendar.

However, a mandate from BCCI chair Jay Shah earlier this year meant several international players would also take part – Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel and more were named in the squads for the tournament. Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja were also set to play before being withdrawn ahead of the first match.
