Kamboj, Vyshak shine; Rawat scores fighting ton
At the Rural Development Trust "A" Stadium, India C chose to field first, and were rewarded almost instantly. After Anshul Kamboj and Gourav Yadav kept the run-scoring down, Kamboj struck to remove Pratham Singh in the seventh over. Two overs later, the seamer removed the other opener, Mayank Agarwal to leave India A 14-2.

First change bowler Vijaykumar Vyshak then got in on the act, dismissing Riyan Parag for two and reducing India A to 17-3. Tilak Varma was then run out, before Vyshak got rid of Kumar Kushagra for an eight-ball duck.
At 36-5, Shams Mulani joined hands with Shashwat Rawat. The pair batted admirably, putting on 87 before Gourav Yadav got rid of Mulani for 44, courtesy an excellent catch from Rajat Patidar. Tanush Kotian and Avesh Khan then stuck around for a while as Rawat went past the three-figure mark.
The diminutive batter then made his way to an unbeaten 122 at stumps, taking his side to a respectable total.
Score at stumps, day one: India A 224-7 (Shashwat Rawat 122*, Anshul Kamboj 3-40) vs India C.
Shreyas Iyer scores duck, Sanju Samson hits quickfire fifty
In a contrasting second game, the Rural Development Trust "B" Ground saw the batters thrive early on. India B elected to bowl first, but watched as India D openers Devdutt Padikkal and KS Bharat first blunted the new ball, before going on to collect their runs in steady fashion.
It took until the 32nd over for a breakthrough, as Navdeep Saini got rid of Padikkal for 50. Ricky Bhui, star of the show in the last match, then came in only to lose Bharat three overs later, for 52.
Youngster Nishant Sindhu departed after putting on a half-century stand with Bhui, before captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for a duck by leg-spinner Rahul Chahar. Bhui himself was removed later in the day, to become Chahar's third wicket.
Sanju Samson then played positively, getting to a half-century off just 49 deliveries and even accelerating thereafter. In the company of Saransh Jain, he saw his side through to the end of the day's play to finish on 89 not out.
Score at stumps, day one: India D 306-5 (Sanju Samson 89*, Rahul Chahar 3-60) vs India B.
